One of those areas on IBM's portal that has moved. The old one was still there, but it did not provide any information for TL8 and TL2, so finally got around to updating all that and added the new links in the menu on the right.
Very useful to find information about recent updates and their impact! Visit every now and then and keep your AIX systems healthy.

Long title, but might be a real problem!
I still have some POWER5 systems I work with, and I still use the web-based interface to turn them on/off. I am not using an HMC, so the ASMI web based interface is important to me.
Today I updated to Firefox 19.0 and to my dismay I could no longer connect to the web-based interface.

Personally, I have never heard of GNU tar - but I guess it has been out there a while. I did know tar has a number of limitations, such as filepath name - and I have been a "good" boy, read lazyboy - disliking long names - so I have never run into the problem. However, recently I have - and there is a tell-tail sign!
