I am not a storage specialist - so I am unsure of the term PPRC.

The setup you describe is recently common when using HACMP/XD. For HACMP 5.X only IBM storage is supported by IBM. For other storage providers you will need to contact them regarding storage.

The architecture you describe, in terms of HACMP product, is a single HACMP cluster with two sites. Assuming IBM storage it is a basically a matter of filling in the SMIT screens once the storage system has been configured.

At least that is what I hear from the storage people.

Note: considering that it is October, and IBM often has announcements in October -- and this is the time of year that HACMP (now PowerHA) tends to make product announcements -- I am expecting an announcement real soon on PowerHA release changes and/or updates.

I would like know if anybody have the following archicheture:

SITE A: AIX 5.3 + HACMP 5.4 + STORAGE
SITE B: AIX 5.3 + HACMP 5.4 + STORAGE

Storage on site A use PPRC to replicate all datas to site B
The RG is online on siteA
When failover occurs on site A, the hacmp switch the RG to site B. In this case the VG from site A change to readonly and readwrite on site B by script used commands at pprc.

This is the archicheture that I would like to kown.

Thx for all,

Marco
