I have a couple of demos around this topic at http://rootvg.net/content/view/41/93/

Further, user id is admin.
Password is often admin, abc123, abcd123 or abc1234.

For the web interface: it is probably still dhcp - few people set static adddresses like I do. Hence the two IP addresses are probably 192.168.2.147 and 192.168.3.147

Note: it is https - but it is 40bit encryption so you will need to enable:

security.ssl3.rsa_rc4_40_md5;true

Starting with FF2 and IE7 this setting is false by default rather than true.

Well, you know how it goes, what hardware will do the job and is cheapest. Roll Eyes  I have therefore been given the task to get a p505 (9115-505) running.  It is second user, hence why it is cheap.  There is no HMC with it, so I used our terminal server (Cyclades) to cable up the single serial port and after eventually working out that it is 19200 baud rather than the standard 9600, I'm seeing the following text:-

Welcome
Machine type-model: 9115-505
Serial number: *******
Date: 2009-9-24
Time: 15:02:26
Service Processor: Primary
User ID:

I've taken out the serial number, just in case anyone unscrupulous tries to get support with it, Wink although we don't have that in place ourselves yet  Embarrassed

I've not had a machine that requires a login at this point before.  Any suggestions of default id & password to use?

Does anyone know why they do it?  Isn't physical security sufficient?  Huh

Thanks, in advance,
Robin, Unisys Liverpool
