I think you don't have the correct drivers installed?
Try cfgmgr -i /dev/cd0 (with your AIX6 DVD in the drive) it then searches for additional drivers needed to install...

cfgmgr error

I am running AIX 6.1-03-0921 in a Power6 LPAR configuration
I have 2 external SAS Disks drawers attached to 2 SAS controllers using X-Cables according to the planning guide.
I am getting the following error when running cfgmgr
Method error (/usr/lib/methods/cfgscsidisk -l hdisk# ):
0514-082 The requested function could only be performed for some of the specified paths.

Can anyone point me to why this is happening and maybe a resolution.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
